Dolls, Dolls, Dolls!

What a refreshing day at work today, without our boss pestering around. We were only 6 out of 13 people so you can imagine how quiet the department was. Fortunately for us, our beloved maid came to work and since she had ample time on her hands we got to know some great gossip.

The gossip pearl was the reason our boss took a day off. Apparently the prime minister was going for a visit in our boss's village. She took her day off to be able to meet him, and ask him to promote her husband who has just got his masters degree. Incredible! On her day off a hard disk from the SAN malfunctioned and there was nobody to attend to it. They had to resort to third parties for maintenance.

During our short half hour break today I brought the Euro 2004 sticker album. I adore the childlike feeling of collecting football stickers. This is one of life's pleasures.

We continued reading the humorous book she brought on Saturday and we created a pretty amusing and nauseating game. In the best scene of the book until now, the leading character attends to a doll marketing meeting and three amusing dolls are named. We extended this and created our own doll names, the first three are those mentioned in the book – Please take no offence if your name is mentioned it is completely unintentional:-

  • Shaving Sharon
  • Pregnant Penelope
  • Menstruating Melissa
  • Depilating Donna
  • Germinating Jeffrey
  • Stern Steve
  • Contorted Conrad
  • Fiery Fufi
  • Charming Charles
  • Steaming Stephanie
