An extract of some notes taking during last Friday's RM presentation introducing the system to the super sceptic outstations....

The presenter was brilliantly prepared and extremely talented at delivering the speech. His voice was very imposing making it impossible not to pay attention even though I had already listened to the same presentation only a week before. He involved the audience frequently by asking questions sometimes rhetorical, sometimes even with a hand show up, using the answers given to illustrate facts more clearly.

Needless to say his knowledge about the subject as well as the airline industry is beyond this world. He answered each and every question with ease pointing out the flawed and incorrect thoughts behind the current practices in the company. The audience was very tough to handle because at least 95% of the audience were against the system being presented so one can imagine the hostility against this change.

The best thing though was not that he was very knowledgeable about the subject, but that he also researched the company's current practices in the field of study and knew all defects and problems. He presented the audience which hard facts about our competitors, market share, bookings etc, that most of our own outstations managers did not even know. This very confident familiarly with the situation gave him the much needed degree of authority that was required to convince the audience.
