Work Overload
Between yesterday and the day before I worked a record of 27 hours with and additional 5 hours of work related outings to deserted pubs at 11pm. I'm feeling like a freak overworked lawyer out of a Grisham novel. Overall it was not that bad because a guy from SITA came to install a new aircraft messaging system and he was an utter nutcase, really fun to be with and very funny. This guy almost toured the whole world and for that alone I already liked him. His favorite hobby is insulting and making fun out of people so the first thing he did was learn a couple of swear words in our native language. What's really cool is that he admitted that our language is the best language to swear in and we've got the absolute most flowery swear words in the world.
At the moment I'm feeling like work is taking over my life and being in the same office with your girlfriends stimulates this even more. From when I wake up till eleven in the evening 80% of all discussions are about work (most of them are about unhappy subjects),10% are about Tanzania and the other 10% didn't hit my neurons. At night as soon as my girlfriend leaves I go back to work on a different project which is not work related but has been ongoing for 9 months and it becoming a pain in the ass.
All this excess work nurtured my smoking instincts and this week I finished my Dunhill Standard Mixture Medium Blend which was the second best tin of tobacco I've smoked to date. The taste of latakia is really balanced because it's not very strong yet it's distinctive. Getting a tin of new tobacco in this dot of a country is like digging for gold. Tobacconists only know about two or three tobacco brand names and the net is impossible to use because the damn Americans don't ship tobacco to Europe. In the end I finished getting a packet of Plum Cake by Mac Barons. This is an aromatic tobacco which has a very strange artificial smell. I've only smoked one bowl but I'm not very impressed. What is interesting me a lot though is getting a new pipe most probably from Savinelli. These pipes are very nice and affordable but of course not available from my country so I'll have to get the from overseas.
