Long Weekend Break

For this long weekend break we visited our sister island. The trip didn't take a long time to screw up because as we found an empty place on the ferry we saw our boss waving at us. There's a ferry departing every half hour so the probability of catching same boat was marginal. This event primed us for an unlucky weekend.

We stayed at a five star hotel near the harbour, in a sea view suite room. Although not as good as the Marriott the place was very nice and the room was huge. The only problem was that the TV was not in the bedroom which was far from optimal for two TV addicts like us. At least the TV sofa could be converted into a small bed which hosted us for most of these three days. We also had a full cable TV channels and this hooked us to the black box for the whole time leaving no time for ourselves, which was the only downfall of the weekend break.

The break helped me quit thinking about work problems and concentrate on more important things like my life and relationships. I thought about myself quite a lot and I realised that as time goes by I'm being less spontaneous and more calculative in my actions. I'm doing less foolish things and tend to play safe and be cautions in my actions. This low risk approach keeps my position in calm waters but at the same time it's less fun and not very amusing. The most worrisome aspect of all this is that I'm not expressing myself as I once did which is not a very good thing.
