PC Upgrade

This week I took the plunge and upgraded my PC. I’ve installed a new board the Asus P5P800 with socket 775 for an Intel processor of 3.2Ghz. I also had to upgrade my RAM to 1Gb DDR and the Corsair I brought have got a lifetime guarantee which is very good considering that on my last PC I’ve screwed about 5 sticks of RAM. I couldn’t get another 500MB of RAM because I also had to upgrade my Power Supply to a 500W unit. Anyway I expect that I’ll be able to use eclipse much better now, although at the back of my mind I know that the real reason for the upgrade was to play games better, and be able to edit videos reasonably quick.

This week I also shifted my interest from origami (although I received the origami papers I ordered from Folded Square) to pipe smoking again. I’ve been reading the Aging, Storage and Cellaring FAQ in the lu and I realized that you can store and age tobacco by keeping closed tins in a cool dry place, the same way collectors do for wine collections. This is quite cool because now apart from being a pipe collector I can also start collecting tobacco.
